When great is not great enough.

I fell in love. I wanted this welcome sign to put on the front of the garage. I bought it and ran home, or should I say drove home. I couldn't wait to put it up. Cardinals are my husbands favorite bird when it comes to color. As I placed it on the wall, I noticed there wasn't much contrast. But looked beyond it. Than one day, John said, "I sure wish there was more contrast".

That was than a project. I was going to recolor the flowers. Sunday, was the day, I figured after church was the best time. I would be inspired to create more beauty in the world.

I added a peach color to the base, with orange as highlights and brown as contrast. This is what it turned out to look like. What do you think? I think I was inspired and once again the creativity God gave me came through. Thanks God.

Have a great day to all my friends and God Bless.

Carol

  1. I came looking for Molly's comment - anxious that it was not too compromising. You did very well with the re-design - it is really beautiful. But of course I cannot let any exterior force get away with accepting the credit you are so modest to ascribe. Why did he/she fail the original artist in the area of inspiration?

Nice to chat with you Carol. By the way, Corfubob the insufferable, arrogant athiest has renovated the '*hi* it's only me' blog since Dr.Awsom has seen the light, taken up poetry, and just wants to share his inspired camera art with nice people like you (two). Pop over there - if you can stand the heat, ha ha ha................

  2. Wow, Carol, what an improvement! I just love it! Cardinals are my favorite. When my beloved aunt was dying she said "I want to come back as a cardinal." Without fail, whenever I'm down, a cardinal flys through our yard and I know God is with me ;o) (and Aunt Fran, too).
    Peace!

  3. Your reworking of it is so much better than the original.

  4. Oh it looks fabulous. What a great job my cherished friend. Now the cardinals jump right off of the pale pink flower background. Lovely
