When is a pond too blue?

I have to tell you the story to really explain the blue pond. It always happens when John asks my opinion. After talking to a pond company, we decided to put sand on the bottom of the pond. The question he ask is what do you think? I thought about it, not thinking with bad there is good. My only comment was that maybe we didn't need to pay for play box sand.

When John decided to listen, we found out how dirty sand could be. Should have bought play box sand. Oh my.... it turned to mud. So the first thought is to bring in clarifier for the pond. Sure didn't work as fast as we would have liked. Next John decided to put pond coloring in the pond. Now we have blue water and a clear pond.

Moral of the story is... think before you listen to your wife. Giggle.

God Bless those who travel through my little blog world.

  1. Who knew? I would have never thought of sand causing that kind of problem. I think John should experiment a little more with different colors.
