Marv & Diane's little slice of heaven.

I won't have to say a lot about this home, it's warm and inviting. The home is surrounded by beauty, from it's flowers to the pond that many creatures call home. One thing about staying there is you have many hours of looking at the pond from the upper deck. It is their favorite place to be. And as always, the topics are fun and the birds flutter in and out as we drink our coffee and laugh.
It's hard to show how wonderful it is with pictures mostly because a camera never does it's job. But sit back and enjoy. Thanks to my brother and sister-in-law for the opportunity to relax. I'm hoping they did.
God Bless those who travel through my little blog.

Chimney Creek Walk

The other morning we decided to tour the Lake Lure area in North Carolina. It was eye candy to me. Being creative I love finding areas that feels like a scene out of a very creative movie. I watch a movie called Popeye with Robin Williams playing the lead role. The sea side town in the movie is something to view over and over.

I do want to state that the town of Chimney Rock is not like the movie in quality of construction but the beautiful visual town that was built by the very fast running river. We will visit often with family and friends. We love the state park the stores and just the beauty of the area.

Sometimes you find the most beautiful places by accident. This was one of them.
The upper left photo is the, river walk that runs behind the shops. The picture to the left is, a veiw of the main street where we found a beautiful shop named Willow Creek. I hope to have my greeting cards there in the future.
As always God bless all those who travel through my little blog.

Zen and the Zog

As most of you know by previous posts that Timber is our English Setter that seems to rule our lives. But she is also my friend and often teaches me thing I should know as a human.

The other day as I was designing my new father's day card collection and loving every minute, keeping my eyes on my drawing board and neglecting the wash, I took a break. My break is usually a trip to the coffee pot only four feet from my office.

With just a glance out the door I noticed Timber lying on the deck and enjoying the view. Than I took a minute and looked at the view. Here she was taking a break from her job, which means she needs to make the squirrels and birds earning their keep.

I realized how little I enjoy the view. So, with a smile on my face I grabbed that cup of coffee, opened a lawn chair and relaxed with her. She didn't run or seem to be unnerved as she usually does when she is doing her job. We both just relaxed I finished my coffee and she took in the view. Once again she taught me, and I love her more for it.

God Bless those who follow or just visit.
